Solomon Ports is seeking for suitably qualified persons with right attributes for the position of Security Officer to join our
Enforcement Team.

The Security Officers are responsible for the good order, crime prevention and protection of Ports Assets in both Customs
and Waterfront Areas or compounds in accordance with the publicly gazetted Ports By-Laws – Rules and regulations and
proper implementation of the ISPS code (inside Ports Restricted Area)

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Oversee security gates both Entrance and Gate houses to ensure safe entrance and exit for all Port Users
• Keep and record incidents in Security dairy books
• Assist with records of storages, rentals, other items prior to payment/receipts
• Oversee Access controls/people movement/crews/vehicles in ISPS and Customs areas
• Ensure security lights, gates, locks, keys, fences, warehouses are in good order
• Assist with issuing of IDs to public, SIPA employees, contractors, ship agents for access into ISPS Area
• Ensure that all security standing orders, Port By-Laws, rules and regulations are carried out accordingly.

Qualifications and Experience

• Must Completed Form 5 Certificate
• At least 2 or 3 years of experience in a similar role
• Professional presentation
• Ability to work as a team and on Flexible roster, 7 days a week
