Solomon Islands Ports Authority invites applications from interested applicants with relevant qualification and
experience for the position of Accountant – Accounts Receivable which needs to be filled immediately in the Finance

Purpose of the Position

To generate revenue by ensuring that customers are properly billed for goods and services and ensuring that debts
owed to SIPA are collected in a timely manner.

Roles / Responsibilities

•Invoicing of customers on a timely basis as and when services are provided.
•Ensuring that all information/source documents are complete and received for timely invoicing.
•Reconcile and update customer accounts.
•Answerable to customer queries and enquiries
•Provide up to date balances for customers.
•Regular follow up for payments of debts.
•Monitoring of Trade Debtors aged trial balance, identify overdue accounts and communicate to customers to settle
•Other duties and responsibilities assigned by immediate supervisor or superiors.

Qualification / experience

•Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field with at least 2 years’ experience, or a diploma in accounting,
finance, or related field with at least 5 years’ experience in similar role.
•Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
•High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
•Experience with accounts receivable and/or debt collection is preferred.
